Since 1993 the Foundation for Belmont Education has invited Belmont Public Schools' teachers, administrators, and staff to submit proposals for its Learning Excellence Grant Program. Since the program's inception, the Foundation has awarded 424 Learning Excellence Grants totaling $593,528. Awards have been made to teachers representing each of our community's schools and every curricular department. These awards have funded new initiatives, staff development projects, and other enrichment activities that could not be included in the regular school budget.

The following table summarizes our Learning Excellence Grant awards for the most recent school year, 2009-10. Go to Grant Summaries for more detailed information on the latest LEGP grant cycle. Follow this link for Historical Award information.
